This foundational-level course is designed to provide audiologists who are new to cochlear implants information on how electrical stimulation provides hearing to cochlear implant recipients. Topics will include parameters of electrical stimulation, how MAPs are constructed, how pre-processing is used to improve performance in cochlear implant recipients and how electrical stimulation has evolved over time. This course is designed to be part of the overall “Foundations for Cochlear Implant Professionals” series.
