This year’s conference will address topics related to routine and special programming issues and methods in pediatric and adult recipients. It will also present new and promising techniques to assist in programming, including objective measures. Special consideration will be given to the programming of bimodal, electro-acoustic and complex case studies. Format will include lectures, roundtable discussions, audience participation, and dedicated time for participants to visit manufacturer technology suites. Special emphasis will be placed on case studies submitted by attendees!

  • Describe expected CI outcomes by a large clinical population without knowledge of electrode location and device wear time and compare this broad range of variability to what we could expect with more knowledge of individualized variables
  • Understand differences between classic literature and newer studies providing evidence for greater channel specificity in modern-day CI recipients with precurved electrode arrays localized in scala tympani
  • Characterize the potential beneficial effects of a well-placed precurved electrode array on upper stimulation levels, spectral resolution and speech recognition in quiet and noise
